Last Final Jury of the Chair, June 2024
On June 18th, we had the honor of hosting the final jury of the Chair, a day entirely dedicated to the presentation of projects developed by our talented students. Over the past six months, they have worked closely with our esteemed partners—EssilorLuxottica, Bouygues Group, and L'Oréal—to create innovative solutions in the field of circular economy
Their efforts reflect the strong collaboration between academia and industry, showcasing practical applications that address real-world sustainability challenges.
The event also provided a unique opportunity for our partners to engage directly with the students, offering feedback and insights to further refine their ideas. These collaborations not only foster innovation but also equip students with real-world experience in driving circular economy initiatives. We are proud of the impactful work they have achieved, and we look forward to seeing the next steps in their journey.
World Circular Economy Forum 2024
From April 15 to 18, 2024, the Chair had the privilege of participating in the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF). This global event brought together leaders and innovators in the field to discuss the future of the circular economy, sharing groundbreaking insights and fostering collaboration across industries.
The forum offered a unique opportunity for students and faculty to engage with international experts, deepening their understanding of the latest trends, challenges, and solutions driving the global transition towards a more sustainable, circular future.
Launch Dinner 2024
The launch dinner of the ESSEC Global Circular Economy Chair in February 2024 was an exceptional evening, bringing together current students and alumni in a warm atmosphere of sharing and collaboration.
A special thanks to Guillaume Paoli, CEO of Aramis Group and former ESSEC student, who shared his inspiring journey as a circular entrepreneur. Lucie Perrin, a former student of the Chair now at Circul'R, also provided valuable insights into her professional experience within the circular economy.
More than just a dinner, the event created a unique opportunity for alumni and current students to connect, strengthening the Chair's expanding network.
Circular Science Talk, 2023
On December 7th, 2024, the ESSEC Circular Science Talk took place at the ESSEC campus in La Défense, bringing together participants for an in-depth discussion on the themes of reuse, repair, and recycling. Expert speakers Laetitia Vasseur and Felix Papier shared their valuable insights, offering a fresh perspective on these critical issues. The event provided attendees with the opportunity to explore the latest developments in circular practices, emphasizing their importance for the future of sustainability.
